Bored in London? Here’s 5 fun value for money activities
With so much to see and do in London, one thing that surprises us is that sometimes people can feel a little bored, or that they have nothing to do. The reason for this can often be that people don’t know where to start with all the things to do. Or, they are trying to visit London on a budget and not sure what they can do with low funds.
If you are trying to stop boredom in London (as well as stick to your budget) then here are 5 of the best value for money activities that you can try for yourself.
Eat some street food
Eating in London can be expensive, but this can be made even better if you want to try some of the local street food stalls. Street food is not only cheap and delicious, but it can also be an experience too. This is particularly true if you head to Camden, where you will find a type of street food to suit every single taste, all in one amazing place.
Spend the evening indulging in pub theatre
When you think of theatre, you are likely to have visions of grand buildings with beautifully produced shows. However, in London, not everything is as it seems. In fact, there is such a thing as pub theatre. Pub theatre is, as the name suggests, small scale performances that are held in pubs. This means that you get to enjoy a spot of evening entertainment, but you still get to have a few drinks too. Best of all, the tickets only cost a fraction of what they would at one of the more standard theatres.
See the city with a fantastic tour
There is so much to see and do in London, that it is easy to wonder how you are going to fit all those key landmarks and tourist attractions in. One of the best ways is to take a bus tour of the city. Not only do they allow you to take in all the attractions, but you also can learn more about the city as a whole too. We are proud to offer two different types of tours, one is a Classic Tour, or one that is a little different, then our Ghost Bus Tour is also a great idea.
Go to the farm
You might not think of farms when you think of London, but thanks to Belmont Children’s Farm, there is actually a chance to bring the two things together. At this amazing city farm you will get the chance to meet ponies, alpacas goats and a variety of other farm animals too. Whilst you do have to pay to get in, the cost is minimal and you are paying back to the animals and their care.
Wander around the markets
If there is one thing that London is famous for, it is the amazing markets there. Stocking a wide range of food, drink, fashion and homewares, these markets are the perfect way to spend a few hours. Even if you don’t have much money to spend. There are a wealth of markets to choose from, depending on when you are travelling and what it is that you want to buy too.
As you can see, London is great fun, and it can be just as good whether you have a budget or not. Why not try out some of these amazing value for money activities, attractions and sights and see if you can have the best time in the capital possible.
